We are seeking a Right-of-Way (ROW) Specialist to support surveying and land projects across the Southeast. This role is critical in ensuring survey crews have legal access to properties and accurate ownership data to perform high-quality boundary and cadastral work.
Location: Remote within Southeast U.S. (Travel Required)
Compensation: $30–$40/hour OR $65K–$85K base + travel/per diem (depending on experience)
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, courthouse research, and landowner interaction, and who can operate independently while traveling to project sites.
What You’ll Do
- Travel to project areas across the Southeast to support survey operations
- Conduct courthouse research to retrieve deeds, plats, easements, and title records
- Analyze property ownership, boundaries, and legal descriptions
- Coordinate and obtain right-of-entry permissions from landowners
- Communicate directly with property owners to explain survey purpose and access needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of land rights, contacts, and agreements
- Work closely with survey crews and licensed surveyors to ensure project readiness
- Support boundary, easement, ROW, and subdivision projects through accurate land data

What We’re Looking For
- 2–5+ years of experience in Right-of-Way, land, title, or survey support work
- Experience pulling deeds and conducting courthouse/title research
- Strong understanding of property records, legal descriptions, and land ownership
- Comfortable communicating with landowners and securing access
- Highly organized with strong documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while traveling
- Familiarity with GIS, mapping tools, or survey workflows is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
