The Logistics Manager oversees the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery of products to support the company’s growth in the UAS industry. This role optimizes transportation, warehouse processes, and vendor coordination to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction across e-commerce and B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute logistics strategies for domestic and international shipments, coordinating with carriers to ensure on-time delivery and cost optimization.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch, while maintaining accurate stock levels through cycle counts and system updates.
- Manage transportation logistics, negotiating rates with freight providers, scheduling LTL and FTL pickups, and tracking shipments to resolve delays or issues across all product lines.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast demand, manage lead times, and integrate new product lines into the supply chain.
- Implement and monitor logistics performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery rates, transportation costs) to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement across all warehouses.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards, including documentation for international shipments.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of a new inventory management system (WMS) to enhance accuracy and scalability.
- Leverage logistics software and WMS systems to automate workflows, track assets in real-time, and generate reports for leadership review.
- Coordinate returns processing, reverse logistics, and quality inspections to minimize losses and enhance customer experience.
- Train and lead logistics staff on best practices, safety protocols, and system usage to build a high-performing team.
- Provide strategic insights on supply chain trends, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities to support scalable growth.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, with 3-5 years required; a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS), inventory systems, and Microsoft/Google Office suite for reporting and analysis.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage complex operations and resolve disruptions across multiple product lines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce, hardware distribution, or the drone/UAS industry.
- Certification in logistics (e.g., CLTD, CSCP) or supply chain management.
- Physical Requirements (if applicable)
- Occasional lifting or movement of equipment (up to 50 lbs) and site visits to warehouse facilities may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
$90,000 - $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, based on Los Angeles market rates for a full-time role, with health, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plans as per company policy.
