GeoSearch is actively looking for a GIS Architect to work remotely! This is a full-time contract role. Up to 25% travel may be required. This role serves as the GIS Technical Lead providing guidance and structure for designing, implementing, and maintaining geospatial system infrastructure utilizing industry best practices for large federal program.

Responsibilities:

• Develops system hardware specifications, design strategies, documentation, and plans

• Provides support for planning, design, and implementation of enterprise GIS solutions, including requirements developments, data analysis, modeling, testing, and deployment

• Coordinates with Agency IT leads to ensure systems/solutions are developed in accordance to policy and align to enterprise strategies

• Provide technical vision to client and team

• Solution Design and implementation

• Guides technical team/translates requirements

• Document and present technical best practices

• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to complete Requirements Solicitation/Refinement

• Security and nonfunctional requirements

• Provide accurate and timely estimates/Level of Effort (LOE)

• Stay up to date on ESRI technology and best practices

• Market/educate clients on technologies and platforms

Requirements:

• Masters degree in geography, technology, science, engineering, business, or another related field, or equivalent experience*

• 10+ years of experience or equivalent supporting IT/GIS system and data integration projects with the ability to define requirements and recommend enterprise solutions

• Advanced knowledge of Esri platform
