Liz Hill
Honest, personal, and relationship-driven — at her best when trust and clear communication matter most.
Bio
Liz Hill has been with GeoSearch for four and a half years, and her whole approach comes down to one thing: she listens first. When a client or candidate reaches out, she wants to understand their goals and what a good outcome actually looks like — not just the technical requirements or experience level, but team fit, communication style, timing, and the longer-term picture.
Clients say she's personal, honest, upfront, and easy to talk to. Candidates say she's approachable and genuinely invested in finding the right fit. Both come back to the same thing: she keeps it transparent and stays in touch, so people always know where things stand. Colleagues would tell you she's personable and relationship-focused, with a real emphasis on clear communication and follow-through.
She's learned that in a field this specialized, technical skills alone don't tell the whole story — candidates often have very niche expertise, and small differences in experience or project work can change everything about fit. That's what keeps her here: the chance to learn the industry's nuances and connect people with very specific, in-demand skills to the organizations that genuinely need them.
Where she's at her best
Liz is at her best when trust and communication matter most — helping a nervous candidate feel comfortable, working a hard-to-fill role, or helping a client move quickly without cutting corners. She does her best work with people who want an honest, relationship-focused approach rather than a transactional one.
In her words
"I'd rather build a real relationship than run a transaction — honest, personal, and clear the whole way through."
What she brings
Before geospatial recruiting, Liz worked in customer service, large-scale fundraising, event planning, and non-profit board management. It taught her how to build relationships, communicate with all kinds of people, juggle competing priorities, and create a good experience on both sides of a search.
Beyond work
Outside work, Liz is passionate about running, and she loves being outdoors with her family — snowmobiling in winter, boating in summer, or playing catch and shooting baskets with her son.
