Jessica Touchard
27 years at GeoSearch. Strategic and hard-to-fill searches — and the clients who need a recruiter who won't give up on a role.
Bio
Jessica Touchard has spent 27 years at GeoSearch, and as President she's as hands-on as ever. She's at her best on the searches that make other recruiters flinch: strategic hires, roles that need an unusual mix of skills and personality, and positions in parts of the country where the geospatial talent pool runs thin.
Her approach starts with a conversation. When a company is struggling to find specialized people, Jessica wants to understand the real challenge — not just the job description, but the nuances behind it, the culture the person needs to fit, and what's actually slowing the hire down. From there she's as much a resource as a recruiter, sharing what she sees other companies doing on compensation, benefits, and perks to compete for the same talent.
Clients say she understands what they need and finds people who fit the role and the organization, not just the requirements on paper. Candidates notice the difference too: when Jessica reaches out, it's about a role that genuinely fits, and she already knows the company and the details that never make it into a posting.
Where she's at her best
Jessica is strongest on searches that call for a specific blend of skills and personality — strategic and leadership hires especially. She's also a help before the search even starts, working with companies to define a role and shape it into something the right person will actually want.
A placement she's proud of
A client had just lost key people to retirement and needed a Director of Operations. The role was hard to fill: it sat in a part of the country without much geospatial talent to draw on. Jessica found someone with the right personality and an adjacent skill background, already in the area. He's thrived, the company has grown under his leadership, and Jessica now works with him as a client — filling supporting roles as his team grows.
In her words
"I love working with people who are passionate about what they do. I've helped hundreds of people find their perfect position — and I love helping my clients grow."
What she brings
Before geospatial, Jessica sold radio advertising — or, as she puts it, she "sold air." It turned out to be good training. The job was about getting to know a company and portraying it to an audience, which is exactly what she does now: portraying who a client is to the right candidates, and reading whether an applicant is a real match.
Beyond work
Outside work, Jessica is happiest with family, friends, and colleagues around her. She loves to travel, read, and walk.
