Description
We are seeking a full-time, LiDAR/Geospatial Analyst to join our small team of professionals! We are looking for a creative, problem-solver who will contribute to the team by collecting, processing, and analyzing remotely sensed data. You will be expected to accurately collect field data using standard and state-of-the-art UAV equipment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and will manage projects in the field and from a home/remote office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Qualifications:
- Must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area or be willing to relocate
- FAA Part 107 certification – required
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field. Comfortable operating a UAS in various weather and light conditions
- Hand-eye coordination
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Strong competence in mechanical abilities
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative, problem-solving environment alongside demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Must be willing to travel locally up to 50% as required by projects and assignments
- A technical understanding of applied airborne lidar technology and data quality considerations
- Experience with data processing and remote sensing software packages like LiDAR360, Terrasolid, LAStools, LP360, Cloud Compare, GeoCue, ENVI, ArcGIS, QGIS
- Expertise in LiDAR classification, data aggregation, statistical analysis, quality assurance, assessment, and reporting
