GIS Operations Project Manager 

Salary range: $80-95K

The GIS Operations Manager is involved with managing systems and processes that our client uses every day, and is responsible for developing and implementing new company policies. They also help to ensure that the quality of products is consistent. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives 
  • Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals 
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks 
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs 
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed 
  • Shadow Teams to review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures. 
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. 
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale. 
  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes. 
  • Leads coordination and integration of efforts among sales, implementation, and managed services teams, to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes. 
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience. 
  • Experience managing people and teams 
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans 
  • Ability to analyze processes and find risks 
  • Results driven and ability to communicate 
  • Ability to identify weak spots in a process to improve efficiency 
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes 
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM)
