Description

We are looking for a leader to join us as a Senior Project Surveyor / Department Manager!

The ideal candidate will offer:

  • 15+ years of experience in land surveying;
  •  A Professional Land Surveyor license (Oregon license preferred);
  • Experience surveying for site development (residential, retail, commercial, industrial),
    transportation, and utilities;
  • Experience with topographic mapping, boundary resolution, ALTA/NSPS surveys, ROW
    surveys, design surveys, land development, platting, Records of Survey, heavy
    construction projects;
  • Knowledge of principles of boundary control, map preparation, and land surveying
    techniques;
  • Solid understanding of boundary resolution for urban and rural properties, topographic
    mapping, and ALTA standards;
  • Knowledge of cadastral survey for large projects involving numerous sections;
  • Experience with preparation and submittal of subdivision plats and partitions for
    recording purposes with city/county agencies;
  • Knowledge of Oregon laws and regulations related to land surveying;
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, GPS (Trimble Business Center 5.51, Trimble TSC7 with
    Access 2021.10, Trimble S6 & S7 Total Stations, Trimble R10 Receiver) and ORGN
    (Oregon Real-Time GNSS Network);
  • A proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets;
  • Experience supervising, organizing, and managing field crews;
  • Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience
    developing relationships with public and private clients;
  • Strong organizational and writing skills, as well as project management skills for
    estimating, proposal writing, invoice/budget review.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Leading survey and utility research and developing work plans;
  • Overseeing completion of survey projects for boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys,
    subdivisions, partitions and property descriptions;
  • Assisting civil engineering department with scope and costs for survey-related tasks
    required for the development process;
  • Providing leadership, training and oversight of survey technicians and field personnel;
  • Actively assisting with the mapping process when necessary;
  • Participation in business development opportunities;
  • Estimating and budgeting for survey projects including review of monthly job costing
    reports for invoicing and project management.
