We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Director of Business Development. In this role, he/she will focus on engaging both existing and former clients, expanding market share through new client acquisition, and increasing brand awareness through marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include account management, strategic initiative contributions, and driving marketing campaigns. This firm, a 100% women-owned DBE, provides exceptional aerial mapping solutions primarily in the South and Central US. They are renowned for their quality, innovation, and longevity in the geospatial industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients, prospective customers, and industry partners.

Strategic Contributions: Play an active role in corporate strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns.

Client Engagement: Identify and engage prospective new clients within the core geographical regions and industry segments.

Bid and Proposal Support: Assist in developing cost proposals and written proposals for the public and private sectors.

Promotion: Represent and promote the company at industry trade shows and conferences.

Client Awareness: Conduct Lunch-N-Learn sessions to enhance client awareness and technical knowledge.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the geospatial or related industry.
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to identify and engage new clients and market opportunities.
  • Experience in developing bids and proposals for government and private sector clients.
  • Willingness to travel to prospect and represent the company at industry events.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to corporate initiatives and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in Direct Sales promoting traditional measuring solutions and emerging technologies.
  • Patience, persistence, and a positive approach to handling long sales cycles.
  • Skills in Direct Sales, New Market Development, Remote Sensing (LiDAR), Consultative Sales Approach, and Public Speaking / Workshops.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and MS Office applications
  • ASPRS CMS- Lidar licensed, preferred.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and developing geospatial solutions that would enhance current workflows and future scopes of services.
