Business Development / Sales Director

The primary role of the position is to provide an immediate impact on company sales by generating new business through customer acquisition and increasing incremental sales, in an assigned territory and/or client segment. The position will drive and accelerate the company’s inbound and outbound sales activity while contributing to the success of our client’s direct and indirect sales channels.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and contact customers & targets to generate new business.
  • Listen to customers and use astute questioning to understand, anticipate and exceed their needs.
  • Able to overcome technical and business objections to create win-win solutions.
  • Solve client problems by working closely with other members of the team and/or properly utilizing the experience within the broader global organization.
  • Persuade customers on appropriate technology that best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and performance.
  • Craft customer proposals and negotiate options to meet both customer and company needs.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with customers and channel partners.
  • Identify, monitor, and share customer trends in geospatial survey/mapping, image-based AI/ML analytics, and aerial imagery solution development across our strategic client segments.
  • Relay pertinent customer feedback on product enhancement ideas and market opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, physics or related sciences preferred.
  • Consultative sales & business development experience in a B2B environment with a proven track record of sales performance.
  • Quota carrying experience in remote sensing, geomatics, mapping science and/or technical environmental HW/SW preferred.
  • Energetic, highly motivated and strong ability to influence others.
  • Knowledge of US public, military, and/or commercial buying processes for $100K to $1M+ capital equipment projects preferred.
  • Ability to patiently and efficiently guide customers through the technical and applications issues associated with pre-sale of technical products/services.
  • A results-oriented, team player with the drive to succeed and highly motivated to learn in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Career oriented and inclined toward novel technologies and analytical problem solving.


Location and Compensation:

This position will be based at our Corporate Office in the Denver Metropolitan Area, CO, but other locations may be considered. An attractive compensation package with salary, commission, and growth incentive goals has been established for this exciting opportunity.
