We are seeking a Bathymetry Project Manager to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing bathymetry projects from initiation to completion, overseeing both technical and commercial aspects of the projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bathymetry and project management. 


Remote / Home Office: Canada or US location.


Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and coordinate bathymetry projects, ensuring successful execution within budget, timeline, and quality requirements. 
  • Work closely with clients to understand their specific bathymetry needs and develop customized solutions accordingly. 
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities by actively promoting bathymetry services to potential clients and maintaining existing customer relationships. 
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals, showcasing the company's bathymetry capabilities, expertise, and competitive advantages. 
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop project plans, methodologies, and cost estimates that align with client requirements and expectations. 
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management. 
  • Act as a liaison between clients and technical staff, managing relationships and resolving any project-related issues or conflicts. 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, Oceanography, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered. 
  • Proven experience in bathymetry project management, including planning, execution, and client relationship management. 
  • Technical expertise in bathymetry data collection, processing, and interpretation techniques, preferably in marine environments. 
  • Familiarity with survey equipment, such as multibeam and single-beam echo sounders, side-scan sonars, and GPS. 
  • Proficiency in using specialized software for bathymetry data processing and analysis, such as CARIS, Hypack, Fledermaus, or equivalent. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
