We are looking for an experienced survey CAD technician to help produce various land survey deliverables utilizing CAD software. The types of surveys we produce range from DOT and Municipality corridor design base maps, topography for storm and sanitary design, energy corridor surveys, easement surveys for all types of design projects, boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys and UAV surveys. We offer a variety of work and learning experiences from project to project. The Survey/CAD technician posting will primarily be managing the detailed drafting of CAD Drawings and preparation of land survey documents.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D on engineering design, topography, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and easement surveys.
• Work closely with survey crew members and office staff to draft survey data
• Work with group managers to meet scheduled deadlines
• Manipulate Point Cloud data for the extraction of survey features used in drafting
• Existing surface creation in CAD to depict an accurate representation of field conditions

Requirements

• Communicate with internal staff effectively to gather all information needed for the drafting of survey-related data
• Interpret record documents and accurately represent them in a CAD environment
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Geopak a plus
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Field experience a plus
